Helpless But Not Hopeless
August 15, 2008
In the believer's walk in Christ there are those special times when they feel absolutely helpless to help another simply because the solution is beyond them. When properly understood such situations
are just what's needed. That's not to say it's what they want. It is what God deems best. As we go through trials the ordeal may seem helpless. God be thanked we have hope!
At Sovereign Grace Fellowship in Boscawen I know a dear young couple who are currently serving as special forces in God's kingdom. Their commander-in-chief has called them to serve in the extraordinary
capacity as frontline warriors. Prayer warriors to be exact. As in the military they had only one choice and that was to follow orders.
In addition to communicating to their commander-in-chief they perfom the following duties:
-
Transportation Specialist
-
Kitchen Workers, includes the duties of cooks, bottle washers, dish scrubbers and KP experts
-
Medics
-
Inteligience Gatherers
-
Guard Duty and Firewatch Specialist
-
Communication Workers
-
Supply Officers
-
Educators
-
Students
-
Ambulance Drivers
-
and lastly, Baby Sitters
As for me I wouldn't want to trade jobs with them for all of the money in the world. Work and more work is their assigned agenda and who wants that? Certainly not me!!! If you haven't put this together
yet you soon will if you follow this link to a blog run by
these dear friends. Once there you will learn much by reading current and past posts. You will not regret. In fact you may find something to do with your spare time. At least that's what I'm hoping. - Moe
