Post Surgery - My Last Update May 18
05/18/2009
No news is not always good news but in this case the recent silence on this blog was a good thing.

Some of you that know I'm given to providing percentages to measure how well I'm doing at the present time. I can easily say today that I'm at 94% and still getting better every day. I believe my biggest improvement came the day Karan and I left our church in Boscawen New Hampshire to make our way down to Lewisburg, PA. That was on Sunday, April the 26th.

Prior to that Sunday if I had driven more than an hour at the wheel I would have suffered a fair amount of discomfort. On that Sunday I was at the wheel as Karan and I made the six hour trip down to Lewisburg. I fared quite well. Of course we made numerous stops along the way to stretch our legs and enjoy a refreshment or two. We prepared to break the trip into a two day affair but since I felt so good we made the run all within a little over seven hours.

Needless to say we thanked our God and Savior for providing us with more than we deserve. We remained in Lewisburg until the following Thursday morning so I could well rested for the return trip. There was only one day during the conference that I felt the need to take a mild Tylenol to alleviate some discomfort. If you've attended a conference before then you can probably understand the aches one might suffer after a day's worth of listening to preacher after preacher. If only we Baptists knew how to jump around like those jumping Charismatics!

Well as you have guessed this will be my last report on my post surgery recovery. I'd once again like to thank all of you who have prayed for me during what was at first a very difficult time. God has been kind to me by making you all a part of my life. May our God and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, forever reward you for the kindness you have shown me.

In Christ!
  Moe
